Project Manager
Position Overview
Use project management expertise to oversee staff processes and procedures, client relations, time schedules, deliverables and quality performance to successful completion of wireless site development. Responsible for managing multiple functional teams (leasing, zoning, construction, etc.), and reporting to both client and FMHC senior management. Ensure FMHC meets production, budget and deadline goals for the project.
Essential Job Function
- Manage day-to-day operations related to a particular project
- Coordinate accurate, up-to-date reporting of project status, scheduling, and planning
- Supervise the progress of administrative, site acquisition, land use planning and construction management staff relative to assigned projects.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with project staff to review individual site progress.
- Know project status at all times.
- Oversee project financials, including managing billing and receivable process
- Consult with senior manager regarding hiring and performance management issues and reviews.
- Build and maintain superior client relations.
- Coach employees for improved performance.
- Ensure project team is using current FMHC and client reports, accounting systems, and other administrative work accurately and on schedule.
- Ensure coordination among all functions in the system – both within FMHC and our client
- Build a positive committed team.
Position Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in wireless industry.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Real Estate license desirable.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a highly interdependent team of individual contributors.
- Highly organized and disciplined with proven time management skills.
- Thorough understanding and experience completing both new build and site modification projects for wireless sites.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong computer background, MS Office – especially Word and Excel
Working Conditions
The PM will typically spend approximately 25% of his/her time in the field (i.e. meeting with the client, attending site visits, jurisdiction/neighborhood meetings, public hearings, etc.) and 75% in the office (preparing reports, meeting with staff, etc.), with the percentages varying based on the actual stage of the project. Extensive computer use is expected. The PM must provide their own vehicle (site mileage is reimbursed).
